In my quest to get more blogging done during my down season, here is a short but sweet gorgeous wedding that happened in Eagle River, Alaska early this spring. They got married at the Anchorage Alaska LDS Temple, which is one of my favorite places in the whole world. In the LDS religion, you do not photograph the ceremony as it is very sacred. So, my coverage begins outside the temple waiting for the new couple to come out those doors, sealed together forever. Then, with about an hour and a half before we needed to hit up their reception – we drove out to Beluga Point on the Turnagain Arm – just south of Anchorage, to take some wedding portraits. It ended up being the WINDIEST photos I’ve ever taken – even coming from Oklahoma ya’ll – and so that was short but sweet. They were freezing, but I think it was well worth it. We closed out the evening with an incredibly lively reception full of fun games, moments, so much love, friends and family showing so much support – overall it was such a wonderful day that these two will remember forever.
